Arrma RC's
  1. Fireteam
  2. Granite
Nothing too crazy going on here, I just wanted to shed some weight of the Fire Team body and get a more "traditional" look to it. This will also be my first time painting a body, so this ought to be interesting.

Build list so far:
  • Proline Brute body
    • Traxxas (I know...the enemy :D) body support/roof skid plate
  • Kraton body posts/mounts
  • Notorious Wing
  • 3D printed TPU wing mount
  • 3D printed ABS fan plate
I think the Brute body lines up nicely giving it a Kraton/Vorteks look. I removed the rear bumper assembly and attached the flexible wing mount, which brings it nice and tight to the body. I also printed a fan plate which will allow me to attach (2) 3510 fans. Necessary? Probably not, but I killed the stock motor fan already so figured why not!

Currently pending/waiting on:
  • Arrma steel skid plate for the rear (I think this will work)
  • 2 35mm fans
    • JST Y-splitter for fans
  • Either 3D printing some side/dirt guards or trying an existing Arrma part (pending @ilikehosewater ;))

Test fit the fans on my custom bracket today and made sure they ran off the splitter (they do!). Now I need to print some fan covers.

Also got the Arrma steel skid plate installed (need to remove the stock skid plate mount for it to fit).

Fits perfectly and provides good protection.

Painted the body today. First time doing this including using an airbrush. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. So lines are not crisp and I scratched the fender 😞. Almost done!
