Hello, as I was replacing a stripped spur gear in my fury I noticed that as I got close to removing the nut the nut would start to spin in place, even when I held the spur gear and slipper pads down I could not remove it. Anyone have any ideas on how I should go about fixing/removing this? Thanks.

The stripped nut is the one on the end

That actually looks as if the nut has been put on backwards, with the nylon insert to the inside. It's the nylon section that's holding on,and because it's not threaded,it'll just spin in place. Try pulling the nut off with a pair of pliers, pulling and twisting at the same time and then junk the nut and replace it with a new one.

Thanks for the quick response
