Infraction Gearing parts infraction

Hello fellows, what should I do With this part? Should I cover or something? because any rocks, sand, dirt can damage this don you think ?

I don't have it covered on my typhon and never had any issues. So I'd say it's not needed, especially on a on road car.

I would leave it. Why do the chassis even come with that hole in the chassis? Other competitors don't put those in their cars.

I believe the purpose of this hole is to allow debris to exit out in case it gets caught in the gearing, like protective feature for the gearing

It's a designed feature -exist slot- specifically engineered to kick out >> any peddles/sticks/sand/debris that gets thrown into the chassis ,so to Not get caught/jammed into the center spur and pinon.

Leave it be..
It'll save you the headache of having damaged/missing teeth on those critical gears.

As stated above, it’s meant to be there and left uncovered. Heck I even cut those slots in the chassis of my 3S vehicles.

Do you guys who have the scorched fenders cover this up? I have run into grass or leaves before and gotten debris in the chassis From the hole and sprayed laterally by the gear. I intend to cover this hole if my damned scorched fenders ever get here.


I think my local delivery company was too damn lazy to deliver and my stuff is stuck in limbo right now
