All the aluminum stuff has a dab of threadlocker, I let that dry unassembled for a day. Gives a little bite without the possibility of getting a screw stuck forever.
Till then, working on what I can. Cleaned up the bushings for the steering rack. Let them soak in light oil for a while. Added a m14 snap ring under the servo saver, press fit into place with a 14mm socket. With 3 rings, I found I started bending stock Ackerman plates, so just going with 1 here.

Assembeled the front cvd. If you add a small smear of threadlocker to the pin after it's assembled, the pin will stay put while you work on it.

Decided on N6. Gonna rock the chromed out front center shaft, partially because i don't have an arrma one. The shaft is hardened, not sure on the the cup.
90 wt shocks rebuilt, 50k/1m/60k diffs shimmed and lubed.
For the love of God, don't put threadlocker on your shock bodies.

Closing in. Ended up missing only a few parts, most I could print. All 4 hubs use the v6 inner bearings size and I don't have spares. With the 4 that it came with, I could rebuild only 2. Need a m5 grub screw for the oddball rear diff input cup and non-extended hexes. Parts ordered. All in all, looking like I got myself a N6 slider for ~250$ including parts from my bin. Not terrible and I enjoyed the process.

Guy apparently knew how to shim a diff! Felt perfectly shimmed and smooth before opening it up.

2 things I just learned, got put to use today.
Used a punch to remove a stripped screw, so ty @razorrc for the tip! Worked wonderfully.
And the diff drain plug hole to remove a broken cross pin, ty @RC Steve
Eewww, thats painful to look at.

Got side tracked using the chassis to test some bearings, but its finally ready to run.
I tried e6000 instead of shoegoo on this body, wanted something thinner. Word to the wise, be careful. It dissolves the paint, you can see the mesh on the outside in spots and can see light in others where it removed the backing color. It was much easier to apply. And might try again on the next but use plastidip as a final backer.

Dosent show it well in photos but the red fades from a darker metallic to translucent red on top.
Before I even finished this build, my brain already started a shopping list for its next transformation...
