Arrma RC's
  1. Senton 6s
Just thought I'd share. Just took these out on 6s with the stock pinion and they performed wonderfully. No more ballooning than stock (seemingly less).

They were actually like 7 grams lighter than the Back flip tires, despite being a tad larger diameter also.

And they look good. But most importantly, pretty cheap. ($38 for four cheap). :)

That's impressive on 6s for that price, I saved the link, thanks Stanley. They certainly look nice on the Outcast.
My thoughts exactly. I had tried Proline Super Swampers on my Kraton and they ballooned more on 4s than these on 6s. Haha. (Granted I still have stock pinion on Outcast, and have the speed pinion on the Kraton... But still).

Heck I'm pretty sure I could dang near blow the Super Swampers on 4s. They were definitely becoming mis-shapen... Lol

I should mention that I've been using these (slightly smaller by the same company) on my Tekno ET48.3 and Kraton since this summer. They've also been absolutely fantastic - even on 6s.

You can see them mounted on my ET48 in the image below. Also a very good cheap tire option.

Those look great on the Outcast Stanley, very aggressive. Thanks for the link, will definitely be picking up a set of these to try out. You wouldn't by any chance have a comparison pic with the Backflips that you could share, would you? Look great on the ET 48.3 as well.

Sure! I just snapped these now. My daughter wanted in too. :)

The two in the middle are the Kraton stock tires (v2) and the Backflips.

Got 2 sets with different tread patterns. Will do some testing when I get them. For the price I had to try them. Free shipping over 50 bucks also!

You won't be disappointed with those. I think they're the same as this other set I have but mine have chrome rims. Seriously - I think they're the same company potentially.

Couple Extra shots.

Perfect, thanks! Larger and lighter, like that combination. Really like the style of those tires. Cute pics with your daughter in there, the second one gives the impression that the tires are as big as she is. My youngest son is the same way, likes to photo bomb any chance he gets. Thanks again for sharing the info on these!

Most likely are the same, NitroRCX and Hobbypartz are the same Company. The ones I ordered are smaller.

What would you say the quality is like compared to Proline, etc?

I gotta say that I personally love that M2 compound from proline. I'd say this rubber is a little harder, but definitely not "too hard". Wears well though. But again 'it's not what I would consider "hard" by any means. Still nice and soft. Feels very similar in material to the Backflips. And smells like a 1:1 car tire rubber oddly. Haha

I should mention that most of the Prolines of this size seem to balloon more. But I love that proline compound. I wish they could incorporate fiberglass or something into the compound itself to help with ballooning. Personally not a fan of taping..

I have the Trencher 40 series coming in the mail though. These may be the Prolines ive been looking for. We'll see.

I'm new to R/C.

When shopping for RC car tyres, what specs do I need to be aware of to ensure a direct replacement, without having to modify the vehicle and/or tyre?

In passengers cars I understand for eg. "245/50R18" but lost when it comes to RC car tyres.

Regards.

Hex size (17mm) I.D/ O.D. of tire etc. Also depends on the car you will be putting them on.

Why are some of them on backwards? Why not put them all on straight?

I'm gonna be deadly serious that I didn't even notice they are/were directional until I read this post... Lol.

The Trencher 40 series are on there now, but next time I mount those suckers up, I won't forget. Haha. I feel like a boob. Didn't even notice there was a directional pattern....

Ha. I'm just getting back into this. Thought maybe it was some secret trick that I didn't know about. Lol.

Coulld I ask a favour? Could you do a few photos of the Trencher 40 series with the other tyres you have shown comparing then? Can't decide between the Trenchers and the cheaper ones you have shown. Thanks in advance for the help!

Sure - no problem! (Yes, I'm a little obsessed with tires and rc's... Lol)

From left to right:

-Kraton v2 Dboots (good for speed off road)
-Proline Super Swampers (I hate these and regret buying)
-Associated Rival tire I believe (not bad at all)
-3.8 Regular Proline Badlands (light/fast/good)
-Stock Nero tire (Pretty good in all conditions)
-Outcast Backflips (Obviously likeable)
-Formerly Linked/discussed tire from Nitrorcx.com or whatever (discussed already and are nice!)
-Proline 40 series Trenchers (Also very nice..)

That's just made my mind up - going to order the Trenchers 40 series, and probably the Nitrorcx.com ones after that. Both look really good and the size/widths I was after.

Nice collection btw, and thanks for the help.
