Heya all,

Relatively new to this forum and noticed I had a profile task to start a build log and here goes! :)

About a month ago after 20 years away from the hobby with my last car being a team associated RC10 GT nitro truggy. The plan started with a Kraton 4s, but then was thinking about a 6s and after a few weeks researching the size and price went up to the 8s.

After a fe weeks on back order, she arrived!

So that was a month ago, so On topic to the thread, what have I done since?

First was a change of radio, felt the DX2e was sluggish and a cheap radio And went for the DX5Pro.

Next was some unnecessary bling.... lights from eBay. I wired to a radio switch on the receiver so I can turn them on & off using the transmitter.

Part 2

next followed by a servo upgrade to the Primal RC servo. Fitting was very straight forward and all I needed was the replacement servo box kit which came with the 1/5 box. The primal RC servo was a direct fit to the box and required no modifications... I’m not going to comment about the servo saver as most would agree it’s a nasty design.

With the servo fitted, on to the motor upgrades. Hobbywing 5687 and 28t pinion.

Tower and lower brace fitted... I’m not convinced it’s as strong as it looks as the plastic for the tower didn’t feel that strong, it‘s was a slightly softer material to the original brace, but this could have been due to the hot sun shining in.

Ready for the next upgrades. Not sure what next, but going to enjoy the car for a few runs first before looking for the next project.

Thanks, still have lots to do. Need to change the front and rear diff oil to 1mill and saving up for a max5 esc / 56113 motor combo.
