Arrma RC's
  1. Granite
  2. BigRock 4x4
Hey there, Purchaced my first RC truck a couple weeks ago (Granite 4x4 BLX 3s) and love it. Being this was my first RC truck I really didn't know what to expect. I've watched countless videos on YouTube about this truck and from what I've seen it can take a beating. That being said I've only ran this truck a handful of times and the tires (dboots fortress MT) I think are garbage. Got 3 out of the 4 tires with sidewall rips and another with a hole almost the size of a dime in the tread. I want to change the tires but don't know what to go to. Most of my driving is asphalt and dirt track. Are there better tires out there for this truck? Please help. Thanks in advance!!

Duratrax Lockup 2.8 MT.

Those Duratrax wheels are a direct fit for the Arrma Granite 4x4.

Duratrax makes a few others as well, but the Lockups seem to be the best. https://www.duratrax.com/tires/2-8monstertruck.html

Proline 2.8 Trenchers https://www.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBMHE&P=ML

In order to use the Proline wheels you need these hex hub adapters. https://www.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHADZ

I've been running the 2.8" trenchers on my stampede 4x4 vxl for the better part of a year. I love those tires. They get good traction on most surfaces, but hold up well to running on concrete. I run at skateparks a lot, so I try to find tires with quite a bit of contact area and thicker sidewalls as they tend to get chewed up from the rim pinching them on landings.

I had the duratrax hatchets on my ejato and they held up ok. The rubber is soft and the foams went flat after a very short time. I ended up putting 2.8" trenchers on it too.
