Granite blx slipper shaft

Hello hobbiest I have a blx and the shaft moves around a lot in the case when I try to go it moves and hops on the pinion gear what could be the issue and gears are all fine and mesh is great thanks

The bearings are all ok I think it might be the trans case is worn out

You will need to split the case open to find out and to repair it. Should be pretty obvious once you get a look inside. I had the same thing happen to my Granite and it was the bearing as mentioned above. The resulting shrapnel took out a couple of gears in the process. I would replace all the gear box bearings with quality ones either way while you have it apart. The original bearings are junk and there will be collateral damage when they inevitably let go.

As Dustin Mustangs said. I had the same problem too, changed all the bearings inside the gear box while I was at it. After that it was all tight again.
