Does it go this way? Or does those 2 plastic posts in middle go upside down. I wonder if I'm missing the spring in there. Nothing seems to have any flex

They way you have it in post #12 is the correct way per the exploded view https://www.arrma-rc.com/pdf/exploded-views/AR102657.pdf

The locknut (servo saver side) looks to be the way you tighten or loosen tension for the servo saver the spring is under it.

The 25kg servos out of amazon are really nice or even the 20kg ones

Are you talking these ones? Will it drop right in and is the teeth count the same as a granite mega 2wd??

I had that traxxas servo and i remplaced it with the exact same what you showed me the 25kg servo
