Hello,

I'll apologize in advanced since it seems like a similar question has been asked a few times before, but I can't find a definitive answer. While playing with my Granite Mega I drove straight into a curb at full speed and came to a dead stop, the spur gear didn't like that to much so now it needs replaced.

I looked on Arrmas site for a better gear and it looked like the 57t 0.8mod metal spur gear would work with my Mega so I ordered it off Amazon. Upon further research I started to realized it wasn't going to drop right in without more parts and changing my pinion gear as well.

If any of you RC gurus could give a parts list of everything I would need to make this work I would be very appreciative. I would like to keep the stock motor though. After bashing it into a curb as slow as it is, I don't think I need to go faster yet.

You want a 48p spur. Mine was 91 tooth in my granite mega. Part no ARA311030. I've had my arrma for 3 weeks and the parts schematic is invaluable.

If you want to go with the least amount of parts possible this is going to be your best bet https://hot-racing.com/?partnumber=SATF891E;c=1258 it appears to be out of stock at the moment though. DO NOT ORDER IT FROM ACTIVE POWER SPORTS!!!! They are an extremely shady company to deal with they have a F rating with the BBB. For the time being I would order a stock one and wait until the Hot Racing ones gets back in stock.

I have this page bookmarked every manual for every Arrma rc car ever made https://www.arrma-rc.com/support/downloads/ALL/ALL/CURRENT
I find this one rather nice to compare models https://www.arrma-rc.com/vehicle-comparison

Thx for the response. Problem is the new metal spur I bought is a 0.8 mod and is already on its way. I guess I can try returning it and finding a stock spur, but this rc car has sat more than I would have liked it to and I would like to play with it

I should have done more research before I bought the 57t spur but arrmas website made it seem like it was going drop right in. I would love to order the metal spur with stock specs but its on backorder and I would like to play with my $300 investment at some point (I’ve only had it for a month). So I was hoping to make this 57t spur work.

A new stock spur is only $3.99 plus $1.99 for shipping. https://www.amazon.com/ARRMA-Spur-Gear-48dp-ARA311030/dp/B08BJ4T6ZF

But if you want to be able to use the 32p spur you will need the following items.

Slipper pads ARA310994 https://www.amazon.com/ARRMA-Slipper-Pad-4-ARA310994/dp/B08BJ4DMCH
Slipper plate and hub set ARA310946 https://www.amazon.com/ARRMA-Slipper-Plate-Hub-ARA310946/dp/B07Q74W3QC
Slipper clutch maintenance kit ARA311033 https://www.amazon.com/ARRMA-Slipper-Clutch-Maintenance-ARA311033/dp/B08F2KPHLF
This little thingamijig AR310881 https://www.amazon.com/Arrma-Slipper-Shaft-Red-BLX/dp/B07GR4R74W
And this pinion https://www.amazon.com/Robinson-Racing-Hardened-Absolute-Pinion/dp/B0046EPBBE

^^^^^This^^^^^ Slick is right. If you wanna use the 57t 0.8mod/32p spur gear you will need these additional parts cause the whole slipper clutch needs replaced in addition to the pinion gear and spur gear.

I actually think it is cheaper to buy the entire slipper assembly off Jennys instead of buying all the parts separate.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The hobby shop 40 mins from my house has the stock spur gear in stock so I just picked up a couple of them (just in case). I'm starting to think the mesh was maybe set wrong or that possible the motor was a bit loose and stripped the spur gear, but again, head on at full speed into a curb was also not a good idea.

I'm going to keep the 57t metal spur that I bought cause at some point I will upgrade to a brushless motor. So thanks to slick2500 for the info, it should help in the future.
