Here is a list of alternative options for shocks.

Arrma alloy shocks.

These are a direct bolt on just use your stock shock springs on them.

Arrma Typhon 6s shocks -

The best place to source these is from Jenny's Rc. Use the Axial bushings in the upper mount to take up the space.

HSP shocks -

A lot of people have used these shocks with great results. They are HSP Front 81003 and HSP Rear 81002 shocks. Use the affor mentioned Axial bushings in the shock caps. Remember that these are cheap Chinese shocks, they work okay but do not expect much for quality.
fronts are 110mm eye to eye.
rear are 130mm eye to eye.

Big Bore eBay shocks -

Cheap ebay shocks these also need the previously mentioned Axial shock bushings. These shocks do not have bladders and can be a bit tricky to bleed, some users have had issues with the stock pistons having too small of holes, the rod ends are pretty poor, the shafts bend and they tend to leak.
fronts are 102mm eye to eye.
rears are 114mm eye to eye.

Hot Bodies shocks -

Rather expensive and you will want to change out the springs. Also need the Axial bushings.

HPI Racing Big bore shocks.

Pretty much the same thing as the Hot Bodies shocks.(part numbers break down to be the same, except for the shock adjustment collars, they are different colors)

To install first you put the included insert in the ”giant hole”. Then you can insert the stock pivot ball after sanding down the ”ball” a little bit.

Rebooting ooold thread.. This is the info I've been looking for! been on the hunt for shocks / springs for my Talion build! Now if i can just find this kind of intel on the sway bars, life would be golden!

You've mentioned the Axial bushings for some of these shocks but I am not finding a part number or any associated link to what you are describing..

Have a look at the sticky in the suspension section lots of information in there about shocks and springs for the 6s line. As for sway bars look at the Team Durango DEXT.

This information in this thread is not relevant to the 6s line but these are the Axial shock bushings https://www.amainhobbies.com/axial-...J-nIvKJzEbIP4WEIZiTwYCecsTtx71axoCpZkQAvD_BwE

Thank you for the link.
So basically those are shock bump stops on the shock shaft.
I am working on a Talion conversion / rebuild from my Kraton.. It's shock length is 117 F / 131 R eye to eye. So I've been on the hunt for alternative shocks that have different options for shock spring rates..

If you can find them the MT10 V1 shocks are pretty close to that.

Also too note, you can use most any 1/8th scale shock spring on the stock shocks. I used Tekno springs on mine.

nice.. I am making my Talion a 4S backyard track racer so I have been trying to find different rated springs, but hasn't been easy, especially when many companies use all sort of different rating variables, diameters, lengths etc.. I have found the ET48 shocks listed on JRC.. (out of stock atm). ET48 Front shocks (122) and ET48 Rear (137). Now just wondering what I would need to do to make them fit properly onto the Talion. Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated..

They're only about 1/4" longer then the stock so that little bit of extra compression is about the same as cranking down the collar for preload, right? I'm just wondering about the shock rod end on those Tekno's, they don't look long at all compared to the Arrma's that will allow for the angular travel..
