I'm 49 and got a Grasshopper for christmas. I've ran it in the park next door about 5 times, and then today I bought this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/354538416779
I have a spare GoolRC 3mm motor and the $50 radio from my grasshopper. Can I make the new 6s limp along with my 3mm shaft motor and $40 motor+esc+2s combo? I just want to try it out, blow the motor, then shop for a real motor later.

I assume my grasshopper wheels won't fit on the 6s. There are only 2 large wheels with drive pins anyway. What are some cheap wheels that I can find on eBay or Amazon for this Frankenstein Typhon 6s? I guess I will leave the body off to start.

I will also buy another servo and receiver for it so I can share my transmitter.

I am going to say no as the Typhon 6s is 1/8th scale and really anything below a 4068 sized motor and a 100a 4s capable esc is not going to work very well if at all. That $40 motor and esc combo is probably better suited for a 1/10th scale 2wd buggy like the Grasshopper.

Nope not even close.

These tires are great considering the price.

Leave the grass hopper alone and build up the Typhon properly. my 2 cents.

Keep in mind there is a Horizon Hobby sale ending Jan 31 to get a RTR Typhon 6S for $399. So you only have $150 to work with 😬

NIB ESC $60

Motor $40

$50 Servo?

He could get by with the red Amazon servo that is $20. https://www.amazon.com/Servo-Waterproof-High-Torque-Update/dp/B083GPMMYK/ref=sr_1_18?keywords=ds3225mg+servo&qid=1674789027&refinements=p_85:2470955011&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&sprefix=ds3225mg+,aps,176&sr=8-18&th=1

-edit- idk how well that motor would work in the Typhon 6s as she is rather heavy for a 1/8th scale buggy that would probably be better suited for the Typhon 3s. I would stick with a 4068 or larger motor if it was me. This one isn't bad https://www.ebay.com/itm/1653107266...Zn2zNy64fSaqD4Kb/PjBUp8kA=|tkp:Bk9SR7Ls75O-YQ

I was clutching at straws with the AF classifieds... and not that good with motors tbh. That one doesn't even have a pinion gear.

Still need tires. Too late to return it? @raymetz100

Oh I just saw the guy didn't even include a pinion.
