I will be taking my onroad adventure a step further now that I got myself a used Infraction. Untill now I did not have any serious onroad cars, only some Tamiya M-chassis cars (M03 Swift and M05 NSU) and two TT-02's me and my daughter used for some occaisonal onroad driving.

I always liked the look of the Infraction (6s) and when I see footage of the car running I always think I want one / need to get one. But the size of the car and space needed for running such a demon always held me back. Also I do not know if onroad bashing is something that will stick with me ... Last week I saw this nice looking Infraction for sale on marketplace here in The Netherlands, and thought the 3S version is a nice in between solution to explore onroad bashing. For the right amount I will try this ... So made a offer and managed to make a deal.

I payed 250 euro for it ... Also received the receipt of the purchase (may 2023). New ones go for around 419-449 euro in The Netherlands. Lowest price I found was a German shop with 376 euro. With shipping that would come to 390 euro.

Below some pics of the condition it is in. I already printed and fitted a PETG front splitter.

I feel I got a good deal on this truck and look forward to hooning it around.

Question for the more seasoned 3S infraction runners;

Is there a need to upgrade certain weak parts out the box ? If so, which ?
What did you all install for upgrades ?

That's a great deal!

Looks pristine 👍

Did you design that splitter too 🤓

That is what I thought (y) Really great condition.

No, I grabbed the splitter design of thingiverse. I did not want to invest the time for designing my own splitter from scratch for such a generic part. This design will do fine …

Thats an awesome deal! Love the splitter on there🙂

I noticed some resonation noise coming from the center driveshaft when on full trhrottle/high RPM. The center bearing on the driveshaft moves freely in the bearingholder, on my BigRock the bearing sits firm in the holder.

Could the loose fit (worn bearingholder) be the cause of the noise ?

I am going to order a replacement bearing holder. What do you guys think, should I get a stock plastic one or a aftermarket aluminium version ?
Cons and pros on either ?

Aluminum parts tend to be heavier than plastic so you can easily run up the weight by adding aftermarket parts.

I replaced the stock driveshaft in my Infraction 3s with an aluminum driveshaft. The aluminum flexes less, and it doesn't require a center bearing.

Here are some pics of my Infraction chassis with aero panels and splitters installed. I also added a carbon tower-to-tower brace. All parts came from Ebay sellers.

I'm running Hoons white label tires; a Firma 120A ESC; Arrma CNC steel geared transmission modules (no longer available); and Hot Racing aluminum steering blocks and rear axle carriers.
