sorry guys.
I'm trying to recall all the details and what happened.

Yes.
She's okay.
A bit shaken up.

I’m so glad she’s ok, and I’ll bet she was shaken up! This is particularly scary for me right now. Like I mentioned elsewhere here, my wife left for a two week China trip on Thursday. She flew to Detroit to catch the direct flight to Shanghai and called me from the airport. “Flight delayed for a maintenance issue.” Ok, that’s a little freaky when you’re about to jump on the plane for a 17 hour flight! Then she said she finally boarded an hour late. And then she said they stopped on the flight line and the pilot came on and told everyone they had an issue with flight controls (!!!) and needed to reboot the system. Took another 45 minutes before they took off. I was nervous as hell the whole time. She finally called when she got to Shanghai. Her flight was over two hours late, she said she was lucky she had a four hour layover there. She made her next flight and called me from Shenzhen when she got there. And the frigging hotel failed to send a car! It was about 1:30 a.m. in China and she had to find a taxi for a 45 minute drive! After a solid 24 hours taking flights and taxis she arrived at her destination hotel. Bless this woman, she’s brave. I’m home needing a Valium! 😂
I was used to this before, when she went several times a year pre-covid. It’s a nail-biter for me now, especially not knowing when the next shoe will drop from the Oval Office regarding China. I’ll be glad when she’s home. Two weeks is a long time…
I’m glad your girl is ok, Tex. As freaky as it has been for me the last two days, I can’t even imagine dealing with the stress of the situation you described above. You feel (and are) totally helpless when you’re not at their side.
I’m a big fan of virtual meetings and Zoom calls. It worked fine for everyone during Covid!

Thank you all..

I Needed to get/talk this out.
I was about the vomit when it was happening......
Stomach was definitely rolling as I rushed toward her location..

I'm sharing what occurred on my end..

There was an entire whole side that happened on my wife's end
that I am just now hearing, from her perspective.

She was not ready to share all the details ,with me yesterday..

She was Very shaken up when I picked her up.

The school 's Security Marshall
was super helpful.
I know him personally and he was the one I reached out while all this was happening , yesterday.

Because of his Fast response.
He responded to my initial txt. And took my phone call within seconds of my contacting him.
I give a super short summary of what was happening and that I needed someone to hold&watch my girls ,so I can figure out what to do to help my wife.

He was able to relay the information to the Principal.
She called me immediately and let me know she's going to get girls and hold them ,so no worries.

This really allowed me to focus all my energy to finding where my wife ended up..

I'm going to skip ahead >>

So, this morning we went and took the Security Marshall and his wife to breakfast to thank him personally for his quick response & help...

After chatting-
Come to find out he had already left the school campus (yesterday, right during the incident)
and was heading to a doctor's appointment.
But still took my call and was able to coordinate on getting help for my girls ,without any pause or hesitation.

He went Above and Beyond in his duties.

He needs to be behind bars, not fired.
Behind bars?? Mr zoom you are way to nice .I have better places in mind where that peice of garbage should be

Oh my gosh Tex, what a horrifying experience! I am so glad your wife is OK!

Do you think that driver was trying to get paid cash? I cant think of any other reason they would need your address on Google maps since the ride share app would have it, unless they cancelled the ride to try to do a side job..
