I have same criteria as the Forum. You ain't gettin Bday wishes if you are not active on the Forum, i.e.-post often and/or was on recently and have a good amount of messages, which shows your involved. So sorry if you are just a lookey-loo and don't get bday wishes!!

Man, this honestly means more than you know.

It's been a really rough summer, and I haven't been super active lately, just a couple of posts here or there, but I've been lurking more as of late and definitely know your posts, even if I haven't replied.

I've been bracing myself for kind of a crummy birthday this year, telling my parents I don't want anything special, no dinner, no gifts, etc. Just to spend some time with my friends, all of us going to the championship dirt oval races (1:1 scale) tonight and tomorrow night. With my best friend going in for his 2nd cancer surgery this last week, and starting radiation therapy, I know he won't be able to make it (obviously no hard feeling, just F* cancer) and getting non-commital answers from most anyone else I've invited, even that seemed like it was going to be awfully lonely.

Stack all that on top of a string of bad luck throughout the last few months, including having car issues last night, and things just really started to get overwhelming last night.

Having someone who barely knows me, not only recognize I exist, but go out of their way to wish me a happy birthday, does make a difference.

@ABabyEater I understand, when it rains it pours. As for your best friend, he's a tough bastard, sucks though. his Pictures are gnarly! Give it time and all the knots will work themselves free. We have had a pretty crappy year here too. Last year we pretty much skipped the holidays and we love them.
