Got a Finnisher body from JConcepts for my Kraton 6s. It was starting to get beat up, so I added some skids on the hood and roof. I took it out for a light bash and all of the bolt holes I drilled developed these spider cracks. This never happened when I did the same skid treatment to my Big Rock 3s and Kraton 6s bodies. Any suggestions how to strengthen this? I'm thinking washers, drywall tape and shoe goo.

Fiberglass tape coated w/E6000 is what I've been doing lately to keep the party rolling. IDK about just slapping it on a body without first knowing where the trouble spots are, seems like adding unnecessary weight.
So I run bodies without until I see where it needs help, and add as necessary.

Same here. When they get trashed I paint the next one. :ROFLMAO: .

I run the same body on both my Kraton and Sledge and have a deep love of big air, my bodies are in better shape than yours. I think the skid plates are your problem. Those skid plates are lumps punching through your body every time your truck ends up the wrong side up. There is also the cleat effect, those skid plates digging into the ground. Those are my thoughts on the subject.

Yeah the OP printed skids are too big IMO. With such a tall profile they will surely dig into soft ground and likely cause more harm than good. Just my opinion if course.
Also agree with others about using washers of some type on the inside to spread the force of the skids pulling on the body when they do dig in. Maybe make use of the extra holes in the body by using more screws to hold the skids on as well.

You’ll need to construct an internal cage for your next one to hold up to significant bashing.
