  1. Typhon 6s
I have a strectched 6s typhon ok coo. But watching sooooo many videos on motors I'm undecided which one to get.

Ok here it go i have 29/46 gearing installed now also have a 40t spur on standby I want to go 8s there is 4 motors 1717 1650kv, 1520 1650, the 1717 1100 or the 800kv 😂 I only speed run/street bash. The xlx2 esc little scared of them catching fire 😂 hell no

Pinion sizes i have are 18 19 20 23 25 29 and 34. Diff fluids im staying with are 100/500/60 and pre made diffs of 100/1m/80.

My center diff is 46t now and I do have a pps motor mount installed with a 1515 2200 combo. Would the pps mount hinder any of these motors i picked out I know the 2028 might not fit. I want to hit 110 120mph for now

I DO NOT want to run spool cause I street bash little more.

All motors are in stock
Castle fan 😂 plus that castle b link is sick asf

Buying the motor Saturday majority of votes wins of course

I seriously recommend against having a car to street bash and to speed run both with. Since you will be pushing your electronics and the car to the absolute limits when speedrunning you have to stop and check motor and esc temps after just about every run. Additionally suspension settings will be completely different, causing either significant issues with rub while bashing, or aerodynamic and stability issues while speedrunning.

So there is no middle ground to enjoy both damn...yeah Im more street bash but running 6s on that gearing I mentioned i do check temps and service motor bearings but I love to show out a few times.

I’m itching to try the 1520 1650kv mmx8s combo in my typhon. I think it would slap in my off-road speed build
Unless it’s stretched, I don’t think the 1520 will fit. The 1717 is the same performance wise and will fit.

I decided to run a 8s mmx esc and pair it with my 6s 1515 2200kv and run 29/40 gearing.

All castle motor combos from 800 1100 1250 1512 1515 1520 1717 and 2028 motor only was in stock i was mesmerized

I fit a hobbystar 4092 in my swb rigs, it should fit.

I have the 1717-1650KV in my Talion and I'm loving it so far. I'm a street basher too and its perfect as long as you throw some fans on it to keep it cool. I'm running a spool too and I'm close to 1:1 gearing and it takes a good 15 to 20 minutes of hard ripping to make it hot. My average temps are 115 with a max of 148. I usually take a little break after 15 minutes anyway just as a precaution. I don't speed run (no GPS yet) but it moves...really moves.

The 1650KV is a good choice for street bashing. Its a perfect size and not really al that heavy like the bigger cans. I've got the 1717-1250KV too and I'm might try that in a few weeks but the Castle site says the 1250 will make more heat with similar speed gearing setups even though it's a lower KV (confusing as hell).
