So now that I've gone through "many" bodies on my Notorious, it seems that Agent Orange is holding up better than all the rest. @WTF MIKE and I were disputing that it is made of different, more flexible, material than the stock grey one. Can anyone confirm or deny that they are two different materials? We already know that the Notorious bodies are completely different from the Outcast, but is it possible that Arrma also used two different materials in making the Outcast body?

Just completed a custom #Outcast clear body for my #Notorious 6s rig!

I don't know why Arrma would care about a different polycarbonate body, imo they are all same. Maybe the paint is different? Which would make it stronger?

But it is maybe subjective, because the orange color is more visible, you less tend to crash the car and destroy the body

Notorious J - Let me ask you a question, does your Silver or Orange #Outcast bodies scratch up like how the Notorious bodies do? I know that they have some sort of patent thats pending to give it that rusty old school look unlike my #KRATON body's....

Daughter has the silver and buddy has the orange. The orange definitely feels different ?
Exactly! The difference is tangible in my opinion too. The grey feels like Lexan but the Orange more of a flexible polycarbonate like a lighter duty Proline Brute. I'm taking this to the top and asking Jason Dearden. I want answers dammit!

Real steel of Notorious is a exterior/interior paint effect. Silver under the white of the inside layer. Notorious body feels completely different to the Outcast as well. Much stiffer than either of the other two.

"Lexan" is "Polycarbonate" and vice a versa. Just another name for the same thing as "Lexan" is a brand name AFAIK. ;)

If there is a difference it will be in the polycarbonates thickness which will make a big difference to it's strength and rigidity.
For example if you look at Delta Plastiks 1/8th scale body shells they are available in a variety of thicknesses ranging from 1.5mm up to 4mm thick. (y)

Thanks for the info. So are the Proline Brute bodies and the Russian indestructible ones, all made from the same material?

There are always going to be differences between production items, be it from using different suppliers of the raw materials, using loose tolerances for these non critical applications... even to the ambient temp being different when formed. The different paint may or may not also make it feel a bit different.
I very much doubt they have two seperate body specifications though.
