Use play-Doh..

Make a large enough flat piece and place them on the underside of the new body, near where you think the holes will be.

Then place the body on the chassis/posts...
The posts will make the indentations where the post holes should be drilled.

I like that, that's real clever..👍🏼 ( book marked 😉 )

dab paint or grease or anything onto the body posts that will mark the inside of the body..👍🏼

Wee dab of paint on the posts, stick the body on, bingo, marks transfered?
Brian beat me to it there!
Can ye template the positions of the posts with some cardboard aided design then lay the template over the body, using a fixed datum fae somewhere?

I’ve found the best method is to use the magnet trick
They sell ours that slide over the body mounts and use a magnet in the outside
Works great

I ended up putting a piece of masking tape over the Typhon holes and punching the holes out.
Then transferred the tape to the new body. Worked great. This was just a impulse thing and I hope I doesn't become a habit.:ROFLMAO:

Thanks everyone for the tips. Always good to have some knowledge in the bank🤙

+!
All the above methods work, but magnets will get it right the first time and always. They sell magnet kits just for this purpose, but you can just buy a set from a hardware store. Try to buy round magnets with holes. One for the top of body, one for the body posts.
I always precut and fit my bodies first before painting. When I can.
Sometimes you just end up with a prepainted body with no holes or the wrong hole position, and have to improvise. A PIA.
