I don't have an answer to your issue but it's classic the weak servo that comes with the 3S (Granite, Big Rock, etc.) fails and too weak for a 4x4.

A cheap replacement most all us get here are the following...I used them all in my 3S...strong no issues

Yea I use these same servos in all my 3s rigs. This is budget friendly and strong for bashing purposes

The servo is toast. The stockers are always on borrowed time out the box. Most RTR brand servos are this way.
Suggested AMZ servos above are within reach , and don't cost an arm and a leg. Stay aways from the Spektrum servos. Even if still replaced for free under the 2 year Arrma warranty. Don't bother. You want a stronger upgrade servo.

It looks like it only happens one direction, which makes me thing something is cracked or loose inside and little shafts are falling out of their place under load.

I don't believe it's serviceable and probably time for a replacement? Arrma has a 2 year warranty and you might be able to get a replacement if you ask them.

my servo failed on the granite in no time bought this one with 25 tooth servo saver, but turning circle is nowhere as good as the original one.
