Limitless Hobao VTE2 builds

Here’s a sneak peek at a new body I’m working on.. not even sure which car I’ll use it on yet but I’m really liking this design so far.

Had a chance to really mess with two of the vte2 builds, and also realized I never really updated one important part,
Along with the full length scorched dual motor build I’m actually going to have a 4th vte2 that will be another dual,
Both of these cars are shooting for 200 mph.
The idea here is if I have a mishap with one I’ll have another to also try for 200+
My limitless dual build will stay lower voltage.

I got this slider from a close friend, i had already assembled most of the car for him and he only made 2-3 passes with it so it’s practically new on a optional carbon chassis.
I’ve now extended it to have room for the esc’s where I need to put them.

Also printed some esc holders since I like to mount them sideways.

Almost finished prepping the full length car with bigger axles, modified shocks, 40/15 gears and new diff fluid

One of these cars will run some custom 4080 that are on their way and the other will still be the 4070cm however I’m debating a kv change. Continuing to debate that with myself.

Rear end assembled, test fit of motors and esc’s

Got motors and esc’s soldered
Esc’s programmed
Motors loc tited to the mounts,
Gears and mesh set
Battery tie downs installed

Going back and forth with the body option for this thing and think I’m going to start off with the fc100 on it.
Waiting on the receiver to come, so I can set up with my remote,

Pps mount
Scorched shafts and spool,
Motor still undecided at the moment.
Could move the 1721 into this, use a 4070cm or the 5660 I have,

Don't sweat it...it happens to the best of us As long as your not giving trucker's a hand behind the dumpster just so you can get a new motor mount...I think you'll be ok.

1721 would be a solid choice for this car.
Or just change the motors around and try them all

Part of me wants to keep the 1721 in the 1/7th car to crack 160+ on 6s, I was so close before the season ended. Should be able to get there: but I might try a couple different setups

This car runs some custom 4070 instead of 4080’s and was built off the stock carbon chassis to keep the overall setup as light as possible.
Comes in almost 2lbs lighter then both my other vte2 dual and my dual limitless I ram last season. Cannot wait to test this one. Just needs mesh set and a little wire cleanup

Lookin' clean Shawn, nice work. That thing should rip. I really dig the, somewhat, understated look of this one. I'm not normally the type, but if I named cars I'd call this one The Engineer. It's technical and looks good by virtue of its genetics and not because of any makeup. The "form follows function" recipe.

Sorry...I'm rambling today. Tight car though bro.

Agreed with the above. I had never considered the lightweight aspect of the stock carbon chassis versus scorched.

40/15 diff gears are on their way from hobao, then I’ll start the front and rear setup

Got the parts needed to fix the blue/green vte2 dual build after last weeks crash. I’m reworking the shocks a little from the way I had them set before to see if it feels better
