Hobbywing 4985 on 8s?

I have on my Talion but it was just for 6 minutes just to do it. Worked fine, but I don't do speed runs so I have no reason to do it again.

20t pinion and a 46t spur, geared for 80mph on backflip LP tires.

Thats so aweseome what a great motor to handle 8s! That is some Tall gearing as well!
How is the heat on the motor??? that things has gotta be getting hot...

Haven't had enough time on my hands lately to thoroughly bash it off road to say. I have it geared to be really high strung and at the limit of what I think it can take, so I expect it will be up there. I won't mind having to wait and let it cool if it gets up above 175 during a run.

I'm looking at a motor to put into my redcat xb e, if the poseidon 40x106mm can blows up as it gets pretty hot.

I bet the 4985 would be okay on 8s in the xbe with. 11t pinion. Thoughts?

Not sure on the gearing but if it fits it should work fine.
