Hobbywing Max6 vs. Firma 160 ?

So from my last RTR K8S I took the Firma 160 ESC and 1250kv motor and put it in my Xmaxx , and put a Max5 / 1100kv into the K8S . Since then sold the K8S , but now have picked up a K8S EXB because of the sale . To keep costs down so I can run it , I took the Spektrum stuff back out the Xmaxx and put it into the new EXB K8S . Stock motor going back into the Xmaxx , but need to buy an ESC . Decided on the Hobbywing Max6 as I can at any time remove it for my Mojave EXB ( to be paired with 1650kv ) .
Now here is what I guess I'm asking , how do the HW Max6 and Firma 160 compare ? I have already run the Firma 160 in my last K8S with the 23t pinion and it was fast , and it works excellent in my Xmaxx . Should I be wasting the Max6 into the Xmaxx or put it into the K8S EXB paired with the stock RTR K8S 1250kv motor ???? Is the Max6 not able to handle the heavy weight of the K8S ???? Thanks guys !!!!

The Max 6 can handle the K8S. Imo, Max 5 is better. Less strain on the esc. The Max 6 is fine for Xmaxx, its lighter. But if you want to gear up a little Max 5 is better for you.

I believe they are the same,except different programming options,the max6 would obviously be built better thou...less cheesy plastic

I've read that some say the Firma 160a is a rebranded HW Max6 ??? The Firma 160 I used to run right to LVC on my RTR K8S with the 23t pinion no problem . The Max6 is what I'm going to buy because when I want to do the Max6 / 1650kv combo later in my Mojave , and when I do I'll already have the ESC and just have to buy a motor . And when I do that that means one of those 2 trucks will be down .

Yeah , the Max5 / 1100kv I had in my last K8S was awesome !!!!

IIRC they are the same (except the mounting tabs and logo on the heatsink). I have a firma 160 and max6 they looked the same. I run the firma 160 in my dbxle (30lbs.), the esc only thermal cutoff once, all the other times I hit LVC or the motor got too warm. You should be fine with a max6. As said before, the max5 will be better, but this will work fine.
