Hobbywing new product release Nov 24th

I don't know, Hobbywing isn't very good at making it obvious!

I think it was something for air or brushed racers or something. Haven't seen anything new pop up under the Max and EZrun series. If anybody else saw what it was I'd like to know...

In short, the "new release" was an ESC, motor, and ESV/motor combo for Mini-Z size (ie. 1/20 to 1/28) vehicles.

I just seen this for $72.00 ( MSRP is $450.) matching sensored 560kv motor is like $71.00 ( MSRP is $350)
What gives with that? Discontinuing it maybe?
Was just released early in 2022. HW only blows out stuff that they can't or want to sell quick or have issues with. This is rare.

Looks legit to me.
At that price, HW is clearly taking a loss. This must be close to their Mfr Cost $ to make. Needing to recoup and sell off inventory Quickly? And there is reason for this. Have to wonder why. Usually a price like that is clearance, discontinued stuff. Plagued with issues/defects? IDK.
Yet this was released early this year.
A HW Max-4 12s sensored ESC and matching sensored 560kv motor all for $143.00??????????????
Maybe due to its very large size, not much you can use it for. No one buying them. So HW is stuck with them. Giving up on it? Cutting their losses.

It can't be a typo error, because it acknowledges an 80% discount. Why are only this motor and ESC discounted heavily like this?
All the other prices are like those found on Hobbywingdirect.com.
Maybe this is a Global region blocked site from the US. HW does charge more to us here in the states. A known fact.
I am also registered with the HW US site.
HW NorthAmerica.co (Hobbywingdirect.com) is a different region????

So I emailed them the Links . Waiting for a reply.
The website does have a USA address. URL Inspection appears to be legit. What do I know.

Hmm, i'm not buying the link.

Google shows the website was first indexed in Sept 2022. Which means unless this slipped under Google's radar for years and years and was not indexed (not likely), then the website was probably created in Sept 2022.

I would be cautious when using that site.

This is the extra info google has on the earliest version of the site I could find.

I would go change your hobbywing account login info, personally. If the site isn't legit, it means you just gave them the email/username and password to your hobbywing account.

Interesting. Google maps doesn't show that the address they list exists. There's a greenfield center, but the closest 2457 West Virginia Ave is CO, AZ, FL, VA, or SC. Nothing in NY.

I knew it was bogus the moment I saw paypay listed on the bottom of the page but when you try to check out there is no paypal option. Paypal the only way I'd take a chance on something like this so it's very telling there is no real option even though it's listed.

There is also no real option to make an account on that website though they have a login feature.
