Hobbywing XR8 SCT sensorless?

Hi All,
I have an Xray xb8 ec that I've converted to brushless. Was running an xerun 150 with a turnigy trackstar 2560kv on 4s. However the esc took a dump. I was looking at the xr8 sct to put in but unsure if I can run a sensorless motor on it? Plan to eventually get a sensored motor down the road possibly..
Can this esc be used with a sensorless motor?
