Arrma RC's
  1. Granite
  2. Infraction
  3. Limitless
  4. Kraton 6s
  5. Senton 6s
  6. Typhon 3s
So this is a fun project that my son and I decided to do. Based off of the 1:7 Limitless/Infraction/Felony platform, the build will be done using a combination of parts from these three models as well as a few from the Senton/Typhon and also some new parts that Hotdog Customs is developing so that they can be tested before being put into production.

This is the starting point for our Hotdog Customs Toyota GT One. Its the newly developed carbon fiber chassis for the Limitess/Infraction/Felony. Weighing in at 10.86 ounces, it’s 44% lighter than the stock aluminum chassis. And stronger too!

Plus a Delta Plastics Toyota GT One body (half finished) and the tire and wheel combo from the Felony.

Starting to build! Thats actually a center differential from a Senton, filled with 100k oil. Also using the front and rear diffs from the felony to compensate for the difference in tire size..

Finished installing the rear control arms. Used arms from the Senton in order to tuck the wider felony rear tires under the body. Also added the handbrake for a little more fun factor..

Nice looks great, and I love those weight savings. One word of caution with carbon chassis, some chassis don't react well with the ends of the droop screws digging into them. The metal tip of the screw makes a little hole in the carbon that gradually grows, and you gradually lose the ride height you have set. I had this issue with a SAGA custom carbon chassis I had, but I let him now about it and he very nicely made me a set of metal plates I bolted over the part of the chassis the screws rest on, and that fixed the issue. Just something to think about

I can't distinguish from the pics since I've never seen the new Spectrum electronics, but is this build 6s or 8s? Either way, its amazing and I can't wait to see what kind of numbers it ends up posting.

Great feedback, and definitely something to consider. Thank you!
That body:love::love::love::love:
Thanks! It’s been a bit of a pain, but I really like the way it’s looking so far.

Great work!
I know first hand the amount of time a build like this takes. I had always been tempted to try the honey comb carbon fiber fabric. It looks very good on the chassis! ( I get mine from Composite Envisions not sure where you order from? )

Would you ever make a chassis like this to sell? Curious what your price would be.

Thank you! Yes, I get the honeycomb fabric as well as the other fabrics that I use from Composite Envisions. I only used honeycomb for the first and last layers with two other different weaves and weights for the layers in between, alternating weave direction for strength and using vacuum infusion to pull it all together. There is definitely a good bit of labor involved when it’s all said and done. I will be offering these for sale through my EBay store soon and already have a few deposits for preorder. With the honeycomb weave they will be $290. Slightly less for the twill weave patten. I’ll also be able to take orders for custom colors. ?

Somewhere in the 250-300 range is about what I expected.
If you ever pass through the Dallas TX area you can have some colored hybrid fabric. I think I have about 4 to 5 yards of it. It is some heavy duty stuff! You don't need very many layers with it.

Those look cool. Not sure if I’ll be in Texas anytime soon, but I appreciate that.

Mocking up the Senton suspension arms with the Hoons from the felony and fitting the body to check clearance. I love the way the taller wider rear tires look under this body, and it makes it look more true to the legendary GT One full scale racer..

Some more progress shots showing the motor and speed control installed, as well as a Hotdog Customs center chassis brace and a set of Hotdog Customs carbon fiber driveshafts all around. And I was able to take advantage of some sunshine yesterday to run a pack through it for a shakedown run!
