You shouldn't have to do anything other than plug it in. Did you plug it in reversed? Is it plugged into the right channel? Also, don't bother with the glitch buster unless you discover issues after running your servo.

What ports does everything get plugged into? ESC = B , servo = 1 ?

You are using the stock Tactic radio? Should be servo = channel 1 , ESC = channel 2 if I remember correctly. Black wire is negative, make sure you are plugging them in the right polarity.
