How do you remove the stock motor

I think I need to tear down the back end of my Fury am I correct

No, remove spur cover, remove motor pinion.
On the other side of the motor (left side) remove the bracket, which blocks the motor.

Then remove the two motor bolts on the spur gear side of your car. Remove motor, done

I would recommend keeping your manual > at the back, exploded view with all parts of your Fury; as a reference. Makes it a lot easier.
