how to fix a bent cvd

Can you hear up a front cvd to straighten to out. I bent mine touching a curb. Bearing steering and hubs are good. Cvd is just hitting the shock spring cap.

Maybe try putting it in a bench vise but I'd just prefer to replace it rather than trying to straighten it.

I tried using a vice on a shock rod and it snapped. Ive got a race today and the cvd wont be in. Till thursday. Got 20 bucks on the line if i don't race

I think you could get away with using the vice trick, CVD are not made the same way Shock shafts are.

The CVD held up just fine. The vice worked. Is there a metal center diff holder?
