I can find some 500k fluid and plenty lower weights. I'm trying to create some 200k. How many parts of a lower weight diff fluid would mix with how many parts of 500k to end up with some good old 200k fluid? Math question lol

Not sure if this is how this works in the real world, but....

5 parts 100k + 2 parts 500k should average just over 200k (214K)

That's what I'm looking for BUT 100k is out of stock to so I could use that formula to use say 20k and 500k to make some 200k. If I can figure out that formula LOL

Again, I'm qualifying this with I don't know if this is how this works in real life......

5 parts 20k + 3 parts 500k = an average of 200k

Well if that's real life if I can mix up some 200k with that many parts of each. Thanks a ton. I'm gonna read this proportion stuff on google when I get a minute.

Thanks a ton y'all. What I did this evening is took my new Kraton (have ran it once) and took the center diff out and it was half full so I emptied and wiped out what I could and filled it back up with 50k fluid until I get some more.

Thanks for this! I entered 100k and 200k in a 50/50 ratio in the calculator which results in a 141k mixture, not a 150k mixture as I expected

Apparently you cannot simply rely on the ratio of the mixture, it's way more complicated and really a science on its own:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viscosity#Blends_of_liquids
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viscosity_models_for_mixtures#Classic_mixing_rules_for_liquid
https://neutrium.net/fluid_flow/estimating-the-viscosity-of-mixtures/
o_O

Anyway, in this example it's just 6% lower than what I expected, which won't make a noticeable difference in driving I guess. To get 150k, you'd need about 60% to be the heavy fluid.

Well now, EVERYWHERE I try to find 200k and 500k diff fluid is out of stock. Associated fluid is the best deal due to getting 2 oz for 7 to 9 bucks. I bought some 100k a while ago. Will have to do for now

Go for it . No harm in mixing them together, it's what I've been doing with 100k, 200k and 500k. Just label the bottle so you don't forget the viscosity

Big boys with cool toys has 200k but they are in Canada. You would have to pay shipping
