How can I put this screw back in the little cup to screw into the hex?

You need a long tip 2mm driver. If not you can also pop the universal joint apart, but only as a last option since that will weaken the joint. You should also use some threadlock to keep the screw in.

Yes sit holds the the driveshaft to the hex

The drive shaft popped out and my wheel but was stripped so I went in from the inside and removed it that way

I did it like this -

But that assumes the screw is trapped inside the u-joint. With the screw out, you may need to pop the u-joint to get the screw back inside.

(The crossed wrench is to keep the outdrive from spinning.)

Then just reverse what you did to get it out. I assume you need to remove the yoke from the section that holds the axle. The hole in the yoke is too small to get a screw thru.
