Just got my new Outcast 6s and starting to add some upgrades as they come in. I tried installing the HR skid plates and the screws that came with them were too long. Can’t use the stock screws because the head is a little larger. Anyone ran into this before?

What do you mean they are too long? Do they not seat all the way or are they sticking up through and into the gearbox hitting the gears?

The could be bottoming out, aren't the holes those use blind holes with a bottom?

I got a HR chassis brace for my revo that looks like those, not sure if they are the same or not, but I can literally bend it in one hand without much effort. Needless to say, I never installed it because it was worthless to do so.

Not sure if they sticking through, but they get tight and aren’t completely seated. Don’t want to screw up the gearbox.

I don't remember now, I know my Hot Racing ones the holes go all the way up into the gearbox.

The plastic ones are blind holes I beleve. I used a micrometer/depth gauge to figure out how long a bolt I could use when adding my wear plates on my outcast. 2 are long, 2 are short I think.

Yes, they’re are bottoming out. I’m sure I can find screws that will work. Just figured I would ask. I know I’m not the only one with HR plates on the 6s ?‍♂️

UPDATE! Took 2mm off each screw and fixed the issue!??
