HW 8BL150a 4 green lights

I was in the middle of the run and was having a blast in the snow and I had a couple of neighbors even stop shoveling their driveways and look. I came in to check my battery level and I applied a little bit of throttle so the car would roll to me and it didn't. It just blinked green 4 times. Searched it up and seems like its a dead ESC. Anyway, could I bring it back to life?

The esc is dead if it goes through a constant loop of 4 green blinks. 4 green blinks when you apply throttle is something else.

If you are planning on keeping your current motor go Max8 if you want to go with a bigger motor go with the Max6.

It doesn't matter.
I sent in a burned up Tekin Rx8 and got an xlx2.
It just has to be for similar model application, ie you can't turn yours in for an XLX2 but I'm sure you could get a Monster or Monster X, maybe even an MMX8s

Hobbywing does the same thing apparently. I saw some guys talk about it in the Traxxas XRT thread. Hobbywing offered one guy $50 trade for his Traxxas VXL8S esc.

good to know.... Can you actually speak to anyone at HW? For off-road bashing I think I'd prefer HW over CC. The good thing about CC is that they're based out of Kansas and a live human being is always accessible by phone during American business hours.

Idk if you can call them but they are quick to respond to emails. Hobbywing has a North American office of operations. Make sure you are going through www.hobbywingdirect.com and not www.hobbywing.com hobbywing.com is for the rest of the world not North America.

Just a heads up that the switches on Castle escs are notorious for taking a dump out of the 3 Castle escs I have all 3 of them had the switches fail in the first week of use.

@Exc3l is that the 150a from me???if so that esc was the best esc I ever owned..high-speed crashs,way over geared ripping,even had it under water a few times..I couldn't kill it...lol
Also 1ST aftermarket esc I ever bought..
June 19 2020..rip little guy,esc lived a good,hard ,long life...

Never tried one of those,but I totally agree the max series is much better esc is ya can pick them up for 100$.what blows my mind is how much more programming options the quikruns have opposed to the max series.
