I wouldn't expect much out of the bits in something like that just as a heads up, but those handles could come in handy. That T handle looks really nice.

Yeah that t-handle is what caught my eye. It seems like a good tool for pulling out tough to get screws plus the wheel nuts. For $10 it's not a bad deal but I also don't want to strip or damage any screws by using these tools if they are not good quality.

Too bad they aren't 1/4" or I'd get one to throw in my pit bag to use with MIP bits.
The T handle and green handle look like they are. The yellow one for sure isn't.

Okay for awhile then round out after awhile mise we'll get a actual set for RC cars and trucks

You're probably right. Any god suggestions? Apart from ordering online are there any good tool sets at a retail store like Walmart or Target?
Do you have a local hobby store, not a Hobby Lobby?

Yeah it's about 21 minutes away. I guess I can just order a set. I got Amazon prime for a few more days so it would get here quick.
In that case just search MIP Thorp on Amazon.

When I first started back in the hobby, I bought a Duratrax set with ratcheting driver. It was ok for a while, especially if the rig is all plastic. Once you start getting tough to remove hardware, you'll find out how cheap your tools are. MIP makes great stuff, and I'm glad I finally got them. Most hobby stores have decent tools, probably a little expensive, but if you start rounding out screws and tools, you'll wish you had spent the extra money. Jmo

So I bought this tool set today from Walmart. Seemed like a good deal for $10. I especially like the T-handle and the precision screw driver but haven't opened it yet. Anybody have any experience with this brand? Maybe I will return it and go get something else.

Keep us posted on how well these do or don't work, but I'm pretty skeptical.

I've given up on trying to get away with cheap tools as I've spent more money replacing cheap stuff then just out right buying the better stuff.

Our post, Tools for getting started in RC, has a nice list of tools that are about as cheap as I'd go when buying tools.

I actually just created a new thread over at LargeScaleForums.com which also has some pretty nice tools listed, Recommended Tools for Large Scale RC. Many of which would work for our smaller cars as well.

Really ? facts there I have to get some new screws already cause exactly what u said so I have been eyeing some different MIP tools fs heard with MIP u strip a screw before u mess the tip of a MIP tool

Anyone tried these
