Ok, been since Sept 5th that AMAINHobbies shipped my EXB rear diff and evidently good ole Covid has shipping jacked from Cali to Florida as I STILL haven't GOT MY DIFF !!! So been playing with other rc’s and wrenching on broken parts on those guys as needed. Really struggling with my Losi LMT with finding a decent handling set up, and then bent a f-ing shock shaft arreggggjhh!!!

Anyway, sitting on the back porch drinking a little Buffalo Trace and thinking about the Dodge body and decided I wanted wild vs mild this time. The areas marked blk = black, the areas marked crm = chrome, areas marked M = Candy maroon, the areas marked cam = Chamaeleon, and the areas marked clr = clear. Going for something completely different this round;

AHhhh FINALLY got here. Ordered on 9/4, they shipped on 9/5, it got lost and or stalled several times in three cities across this great country, and arrived today 9/23. They even shipped it “first class” and I don't think they got their value LOL...NOW I get to start assembling this thing.

Lets get this thread caught up finally. The reassembly stalled as I had ordered a few more aluminum parts and those came in this week. So after work today I put rear EXB diff in, slathered both frt and rr diffs with waterproof grease and buttoned them up. Installed the GPM cvd’s, the aluminum hubs, and the lil hot racing ball joints, and the Kraton frt/Typhon rr shocks.

Tomorrow I plan to get the motor and electrical back in it (150 esc/2050 motor) and hoping to final fit the body so I can start masking and painting. Its been long enough, Im ready to bash this thing.

Yeah so far so good. I have the same rear EXB diff and cvd’s in my Big Rock, and its on 6s and it works good.

Well dang, maybe one day it will get the promised 6s upgrade, but for now it has the Big Rock’s 3s Spektrum esc and motor. I had x2 sets of the 6s stuff I had picked up from JRC, and 1 of those sets was supposed to just be “temporarily loaned” to play in the BR. Well, the wife and I have now picked up EXB Rollers and both sets of 150 amp ESC and 2050 kv motors are going in the EXB’s. Still finishing this Senton Monster with paint this weekend, as I just finally fitted the body and wheels tonight. It’ll eventually get a 6s when I pick up another set, but for now it’ll bounce around on 3s.
Heres the BR that was just supposed to have the running gear “on loan” …LOL

Current tonight with the Dodge body fitted on the Senton, and how the chassis and electronics turned out. Servo is just a Spektrum 651 I had from another build but flips these wheels good enough for now.

Wow this thing ended up with a “bigger” stance or presence than I thought. Check it out next to the Mojave EXB, doesn't look that much smaller than the 17” wheel base Mojave…

SON OF A @($;&;@@;&&/@;$(&::”-“-&:&&;…

I went to wipe the inside of the Dodge body down one more time before masking and I MESSED UP BAD. I had already previously washed it with soap and water, and I always wipe them down with rubbing alcohol to get off any oil from my hands from final trim and fitment handling. Well this time I tried something different. I swear I saw a couple different videos on YouTube where folks used Brake Cleaner as a final prep wipe. don't don't DOOO NOOOT DO THIS, and I must be remembering incorrectly (no way they used this stuff) as it changed the plastic to brittle and the body literally cracked and broke apart in several places !!! This body “might” hold together with a load of mesh and shoe goo, but I damn sure wasnt going to put a lot of effort into taping/masking on something that may not last one session. So I grabbed a couple cans of paint that I couldnt figure out what else to paint with, and just did a quick fad job.

Very bummed as I think this was a cool body, better luck next time I guess.

Well I threw some color change paint at it and its ok. I’ll post better pics once I get all the decals on it, but for now this is the body.
I do plan to shoe goo the heck out of it, so maybe it'll last a while. Unfortunately as of now every time I look at it, I see new cracks like the whole thing is broken glass!

For a Miracle Grow size comparison, here it is next to my wifes stock Senton 3s…

haven't had a chance to decal it yet, but threw it in the sun while it was out for a sec, and man those color shift paints are dazzling (fancy word of the day)…

I normally don't care for that color shift look, but in the light it has my attention for sure. Also found about 6 more cracked spots in the body, so I am definitely NOT using this one until its slathered in shoe goo and mesh.

Well I know I let yall down a lil with NOT running this on 6s as stated in the title and then double down disappointing as I jacked up the Dodge body. But throwing a temp body on it (wifes Senton cop car chase body - with lights ! ) and on 3 s this thing is a feiggin blast. The Kraton front suspension and the Typhon A-Arms make this thing handle so dang well. Sitting in back yard having a fire, some beers, some marshmallows and trying this thing out, and its SOOOOO FUN !!!

It was hard to roll over, and the couple times it did, it actually finished the roll by landing on the tires. And these Hatchet MT’s actually slide in the grass/leaves pretty darn good, likely adding to the anti-roll factor. LOVE IT !!!

Changed bodies again to an old beat up body I had. ‘56 Ford that I painted for my V3 Big Rock originally. Went thru a 8000 mah 3s pack today and its a blast jumping a ‘56 Ford Monster Senton LOL…

Front wheels still hit the body at full left or right lock. The wife while running her Kraton EXB kept saying “what the heck is that racket”…LoL

Thats what I wanna do with my Big Rock!! Damn that Senton is the 🐝 knees. Lol. For real damn badass all the way!. Atleast I know what I'll need now. Thanks for the shots and know how on what u done! 👍

Great post here. Too bad the body turned to dust in ya, thats a hard lesson to learn. Is the chassis basically a LWB 3s chassis? I don't know much about the Senton.

Yupper the Senton is the same as a Big Rock so LWB. The 3s and the Mega use the same chassis, and this started life as a Mega.
