These types of threads always end up being kind of lame because 20 people will give 20 different reasons why the poor poster "should do X because of Y and Z". Whoever ends up having the loudest voice ends up being who the person thinks they should listen to.

I just threw in that Mojave 4S video to add more whiplash. Gotta keep hitting that tennis ball back and forth. 🤣

At the end of the day, both cars are fine and fun and will fulfill what the OP is looking for. They're totally different cars, but if you don't know the difference between a pickup truck and a family sedan, either will get you to and from work, right?

Some footage of my Typhon on a 1/8 race track because, you know, whiplash. OP is never going to send his Mojave 30 ft into the sky or take his Typhon to a racetrack, so it really doesn't matter.
haha. I get you sir!!

I wish I had a track near me. Closet good one is 2.5 hours, not terrible but far enough I just don't ever go to it. But I do have a top-of-the-line RC airfield right down the road. If I didn't at least have that i'd have to move or build my own ground vehicle track haha.

I'm pretty sure I could change your mind like 8x today if I wanted to.

Don't worry about it, either will be fine, just go with what you feel like, neither one is going to disappoint.
Hmmm.... Most people that post online threads already have their mind made up they just want reinforcement is all.

Some do, you can kind of tell by how they ask the question.

But it's pretty clear this person has no idea, I mean even asking between a Mojave 4S and Typhon 6S doesn't make any sense, because they have nothing in common other than the price. Totally different RC's.

It's not a slam on the OP, I bought a Stampede 4x4 VXL as my first RC and ended up racing it on a 1/10 indoor clay track the first 4 months. That doesn't make any sense, but I didn't know better. But I still had a ton of fun, so... who cares? Just buy something and have fun.

I assumed thats exact why they asked, because it's the same cost. It didnt come off to me like they were comparing them as apples to oranges.

100% sounds to me like reinforcement was needed. It actually is kinda a slam to say they had no idea. Re-read the OP. Esp the last sentence, they have an idea of what they want for sure. Just needed help with reinforcement.

OP:
I own a typhon grom blx, my second car, and I run it on 3s only. But now I'm looking to get something larger and for my budget and I found the Mojave 4s/typhon 6s.
I only bashed with my RCs. I typically run on the street and in my front/back yard, along with some occasional trail use. I rarely do jumps, and if I do, they're mostly small jumps. I like having a metal chassis but I've heard of people bending it and the only issue I've heard on the Mojave 4s is the body being a little fragile which is fine. I enjoy the agility of the Typhon 6s but the 4s Mojave seems to glide over anything it goes through.

I honestly can’t tell from that post which of the two he wants to buy. 🤷‍♂️

The title of this thread is literally:

I need help choosing a Typhon 6s or Mojave 4s as my next car

And I couldn't tell this person had no idea what they wanted. Pretty sure they wanted a Typhon 6s or Mojave 4s hahahaha

Eh, I love having fast and agile bashers. It reminds me of the early 2000s f1 cars that looked and sounded awesome. Sorry for the confusion. Both had characteristics I liked.

I think we’re saying the same thing.

F1 car you say. Also, I'm working on a proper F1 conversion for the 6s typhon that will look just like this 1/7th one.

Typhon is my next choice. No more changing minds.

If you run into a tree or curb at 50mph the Mojave will probably survive. The Typhon probably not. 😅

I think he wants an F1 car. 😅

TBH, I’ve been semi-trolling this whole time, but it’s just to show how these threads are pointless. If you don’t understand the question, the answers don’t matter.

Dang man. It's not pointless to the OP. I mean it's the Arrma RC car forum where we are all adults and just sit around playing with toys. I'm sure many think that in itself is pointless.

I didn't get anything blatantly wrong, broken, or offensive out of his original post. Just a dude pondering online what to buy.

My neighbor asked me if he should build a swimming pool or a treehouse in his backyard.

I’d rather replace an arm than the entire composite chassis. The v5 330mm stamped chassis is as tough as they come.

Debatable to the end of time, but I see more and more 4S Mojave chassis failures in one week on FB than an entire year of Notorious/Typhon 6S. Especially now that it’s winter time and people are understanding how brittle those hinge pin supports become.

Most Typhon chassis failures are on speed cars exceeding 80+ mph and/or stretched wheelbase. Center alloy angled brace upgrades vs a “bash bar” that does absolutely nothing for the bulkhead area on the 4S Mojo.

I think I’m the only guy in this thread that actually has both of these cars. I’ve bent/broken plenty of V5 alloy chassis and plastic chassis. Both cars will be fine for what the OP wants to do. Deciding whether he wants to swim or sit 10 ft above ground is the real question.
