I bought a typhon 3s today with a 2s battery but the battery wont hook up to the car what do i need to buy to do this

So It looks like you you bought an ec3 battery the new arrmas are ec5

Yep you got a smaller battery connector. The ESC has an IC5 connector and your battery has an EC3. The Mega versions now come with an IC3, but afaik all the 3S/4S/6S line now comes with IC5 connectors.
