Shoegoo is hard to find here, and expensive. Hobbyking's body repair glue is great but not very often in stock, so I went looking for possible candidates in whatever product range is available from local DIY stores, and isn't too expensive.
First one was this Pattex Contact Transparent:
https://www.amazon.fr/Pattex-Colle-Contact-Transparent-Boîte/dp/B008F8HZFW
Result: it dissolves lexan paint. Otherwise fine, but yeah...
Second candidate is Pattex solvent-free contact glue
https://www.amazon.com/Pattex-Tube-Contact-Glue-solvent/dp/B01L4PO7BC
Result: it's white, very liquid and takes forever to dry (24h+). It's so thin it glues the fiberglass tape to the body pretty well without adding much weight, and during application the fiberglass tape (that has some adhesive itself) keeps glued to the body. Makes it very easy to use actually.
Nowhere near as strong as shoegoo (the final layer is super thin), but I can see it being a first layer to glue fiberglass tape and finishing with our next candidate:
Third was Pattex 100%, also solvent free. http://www.comercialbresme.com/Pattex-100-Pegamento-Cola
Result: decent. Doesn't stick as well as shoegoo or HK body repair glue, nor does it become as hard, but it's close. No odor when drying. Makes the fiberglass tape come loose however.
Next up: Pattex Repair Extreme. https://www.electrotools.gr/en/recycle-bin/1091-pattex-repair-extreme-8004630889686.html
Result: it's like the previous one ("100%") on steroids, but it's much more expensive and only available in small tubes.
I don't think I'll find a perfect subsitute, better stock up on HK glue...
