I can envision it to be one wicked looking truck once you give it some TLC!
The body looks to be incredible condition, just some minor rust here & there and a couple of dents..

Want to see more pics!!

Yes it’s actually very rust free .
Of course there is surface rust but she isn’t ate up with road salt deterioration/rust.
As expected it’s been banged n dinged.
It’s a 75 yr old “truck” !

One cab corner needs attention.
One fender may be easier to replace than to repair….
It’s actually a pretty good donor for a chassis swap and an LT1 or LS engine.
Maybe some
Air bag suspension …
Slammed!
You know ….

Not bad at all!

Sounds like you already have a clear vision of where this truck is going.

Let me know if there's any interior pieces that needs to be replaced, But you can't find parts for.. I'm sure I can recreate something. 💪

Hell to the Yaaaaa
That’s slick
I was interneting chassis options and came across that HEIDTS place …
I’m sure they make nice stuff !
But 21k chassis for these trucks !!!!
I chuckled!!!
I could prollly find a drivable 47-53 Chevy truck for 22k
Sheesh!!!

Yeah, you have to be able to do the install yourself on the front/rear sections or it'll cost you a fortune, you're definitely paying for their labor... the front end under mine was 3k, definitely alot of money but well worth it when finished. My problem is, we have so many projects going on at the shop, I just haven't had time for my own stuff. I go back there and talk to her everyday lol, let her know I haven't forgot about her... I'm thinking no hood and either a blown small block, or maybe a big block with a tunnel ram, something absolutely absurd that has no business being in there

I’m genuinely jealous of people like you! To have the passion and the skills to be able to buy and restore something like that is amazing. 👍

Good luck with the restoration!

I wanna see more of that Bronco!! 😍
Lol, that's one of my boss' many awesome rides... it's a 78 with a nasty 460, and an adapter running a chevy 400th trans, he's owned it for about 30 years, he'll probably be buried in it lol

I appreciate your kind words ..
I’m actually surprised no one made a joke about how long my Felonaction is taking to build !!!!
Lol
I should have dis ol chevy done in bout 20 yrs !!!! Lol

I can’t count the number of “projects” I have going on at the same time .
I don’t sit down much .
I’m fairly high revved !!!!

Here’s how I think …

It’s just nuts and bolts …
If one dude can do it
, then so can Ron MF Burgandy .

I can guarantee I’ll make errors…
I’ll do stuff I know I shouldn’t have and have to repair said mess up .
I’ll change my mind half way thru and decide to go a different route …
Here’s what I won’t do !
I wont quit
I don’t quit
I’m absolutely not afraid of failing.
I may have to walk away, to one of my other projects!
But I won’t ever say , Ron , you just can’t do this .
I grew up stooopid poor and if I wanted something I built it .
This truck is something my oldest son (12) has “talked” about doing ….
I’ve explained or tried to , that . Son …
This is a lot of “work “
Like a lot really .
He will havta put the work in .
Cause’ “talk, Is cheap !
It takes money to buy whiskey!!”
He will absolutely havta
Listen to Papa Burgandy.
Do most of it Papa Burgandys way .
Cause the young man knows nothing of how to tackle such a “project” .
And cause I’m the Grand pooo Ba !!!!
The HMFIC !!!
It should be one heck of a bonding experience. 😀
If he sticks with it and tolerates papa Burgandy making him do ALOT / all / of the chit work .
Then together ,we absolutely can build a fantabulous ride !
I tell my boys all the time that “confidence is a stain you can’t wipe off”
Hopefully small accomplishments during this project gives him the confidence to envision the end result of his hard work on this project and in my opinion it will boost his drive / confidence to tackle the next bigger, more complex project .
If not he’s going up for adoption!!!
😂

No one can stop You!
When you put your mind to it!!

Very cool. Prolly better suited for a rat rod resto. Not worth the time and money. But....it's your time and money...

I’m not sure I even really know what a “rat rod” is
I always thought a rat rod was some goofy open wheel , 30s model coupe with skull for hood emblem and a wood beer keg for rear of vehicle…
Not my thing.
My vision is a driver !!!!
It will look like a 49 Chevy …..
But it will not drive or ride like one .
it will be ….
Lowered with
updated suspension,
Powertrain
Engine, interior ….
0BA95F1A-DF1E-424F-9687-041C1EA92C83.jpeg

This is VERY close to my mental image of finished product.
I do not consider the above pictured a “rat rod” …
It’s more “pro touring “ style ….
Imo
