I’ve put hands on ye ol truck lil bit …
I’m TRYING not to just completely disassemble the sum B cause I forget how stuff goes together sometimes and don’t have enuf room to have parts laying everywhere
Anyhoo
Wanted to be able to get to the driver side cowl part of cab fo get it ready for a $63 patch panel….
Took the grill out
Radiator
Front bumper
And drivers fender
To see extent of damage ….
It’s hard for me to understand how the cowl got caved in like it is but whatever

I’ll put a couple more pics of the cab here in a bit

I used what I had close by for straight edge to hopefully
I mean
It’s caved in a solid inch rite there….
I’m no body man fer sure …..
It’s difficult for me to understand how it caved that side (outside) of cab in cause it LOOKS like inside of the cab is still straight????

It sort of looks like someone over extended the door when opening -into the end of the fender.. causing that crease.

Nice use of the 'flashlight' tube for a straight edge!

The original owner probably opened the door as someone was riding by on a moped and smashed into the door..

I was interneting chassis options and came across that HEIDTS place …
I’m sure they make nice stuff !
But 21k chassis for these trucks !!!!
I chuckled!!!
I could prollly find a drivable 47-53 Chevy truck for 22k
Sheesh!!!

You now you can do a s-15 chassis swap. they make a MILLION kits for that nowadays
