Hey Arrma family,

I have some ecash from TowerHobbies and have until the end of this month to spend it. About 60 bucks. Im wanting to get a new set of tires and rims for my Kraton. I was thinking Proline Badlands but the more i read threw these forums everyone prefers the Dboot Backflips. I don't like the rims the Backflips come with but i can get over it.

I was also looking at the Trenchers by Proline, not the Trencher X's. Then there is also the Badland mx38 but they seem to big. I would love to get the Badlands but am just worried they will be to small and look awkward on the Kraton. Plus the Backflips are gonna be 20 bucks cheaper for a set of 4.

So lets hear what everyone has to say, im really torn. I have some Proline Shockwaves but i run those on my Erevo mostly. All input welcome, and lets please be nice.

PS: I know this probably has been asked but i just wanted some fresh suggestions...

Thanks....

Im impatient and ended up getting the Trencher 3.8. They look like some good tires and from what ive read and watched online they are some good offroad bashing tires and balloon much less then there counter part the Trencher X. We will see when they show up. I got those and some xacto blades, xacto handle, tekno 13t pinion. Came out to 118 but after $15 coupon code and my $60 in ecash i paid $43 and some change shipped. Awesome deal, i love TowerHobbies...

It kinda depends on the terrain you'll be mostly running on. If your Kraton tends to see a lot of smooth packed dirt (like mine does), I would suggest you check out the Pro-Line Blockade 3.8 tires. They're the best tires I've had for that type of surface thus far. Tower Hobbies no longer has them, but you can still get them at Amain and RC Mart (https://www.amainhobbies.com/prolin...heels-2-black-m2-pro10109-13/p415749?v=409946) (http://www.rcmart.com/proline-10109...errain-tires-mounte-p-61154.html?cPath=35_994)

Other alternatives include the Trenchers, or the Trencher X if you're willing to tape/strap the tires so they don't balloon. I've also seen some positive reports on the Mashers.

Duratrax also makes some decent 3.8" tires, but you'll need to tape/strap them to prevent ballooning.

Thanks for the info, im going to probably order a pair of backflips also, can never have enough tires..lol

There was a thread on here somewhere where guys were using these tires, I'll see if I can find it. http://www.nitrorcx.com/mad-wc1043.html

I have these and they work pretty good for tires that are $19 a pair, a little smaller than the Dboots backflips http://www.nitrorcx.com/mad-wc1028.html

Here is a link to that thread https://arrmaforum.com/threads/good-tire-option-and-cheap.2444/
Man those are priced right, will have to check them out. For the price they are worth a shot. Thanks
