Thinking of trying the hand brake to see if it will work as a brake instead of using the motor.

I’m not sure why you would want to use that instead of the motor? What are you looking to accomplish? The motor will work much better as the main braking system.

Just thinking less heat on the motor less annoying breaking sound but will have to get creative with using reverse.

It could but that center diff will heat up and you probably need to limit the servo travel so you don’t clamp down hard on the disc.

I believe @jondilly1974 was implementing something similar with a center spool.

I have a spool in it but also just installed a castle 1717-1650 motor but have not run it yet. Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow and I can see how the sensor motor runs.

If you have the Arrma spool, you’re going to have to change the drive cup as the disc won’t fit onto the round drive cup.

Yep you need the Mugen drive cups.
