Infraction Infraction Pinion.... 6s

Hi All,

Looking to do some speed run passes on my infraction and I wondered if you could help with out with what size pinion I could run please.

Infraction 6s
Max6 Esc
1800kv Hobbystar motor
ESC has 40mm fan fitted and the motor has a 50mm cooling fan.
Running stock 46t spur.

Currently running on a think it's a 21 or maybe 22t

What do you think would be a safe size pinion to try?

Infraction V1 or V2?

Max6 original or G2?

What size is the motor?

What batteries?

Your best bet is to move up in pinion size slowly. 1-2 teeth at a time. And focus on a slow throttle ramp. That Max6 will eventually start cutting out as you increase the load.

Running 2 x 3s Zeee 8000mah 100c batteries.

Should have no issues going up to 27/46 on 6S, probably be around 100mph depending on Lipo condition and actual kV.

Any more gear will require less teeth in the spur/spool or motor mount modification/swap.

Yes, I prefer the safe d-hole type mod 1. Never had any issues with Arrma's pinion quality and proper mesh.
My bash setup is 30/40T center diff on MMX8S/1650, 90mph on 6S and 120mph+ 8S

Max pinion with stock spur is 27T I think. That should get you into the 90s.
