I think that I might steal his idea right here. I already have the pps motor mount :

If you don't wanna switch to a GT configuration, options are limited indeed.
Other option are:
- Remove the receiverbox and fit the xlx there, creating more space for batteries on the the left.
- Get a bracebar with integrated esc mounting, but that will be to tight of a fit with a 2028

Currently I'm running the XLX2 AND 1100KV motor from hobbywing (the smaller one than the Castle one). I was thinking about fitting the XLX2 where the battery tray goes on the right and keeping the motor on the left? Or fitting the XLX2 between the battery tray and the reciever box on the right? I saw a picture where someone fir it? I'll do a screen shot.
OK. It looks like they cut the battery tray in order for them to do that. Not sure if if I want to do that. Or glue down the XLX2 to on the left and put the motor on the right side like on the video. That seems to make more sense :

Yeah I don't want to do the GT route. I'm barely starting to do speed runs. So far my PB has been 90mph with the Felony XLX2 and 1100kv motor 5687 HW motor, with a 34t pinion I believe

That’s what I’m doing on this 1721 build. I want to run the open wheel body for now.
Still debating wider skirts.

I've had it mounted upright behind the motor for a while as well, but that won't work with a 2028/1724

So there are two types of center braces. I guess the one with the holes for the XLX2 is better (the one with the XLX2 graphics in the middle) :

This looks like it has holes for bolting on the XLX2

BTW, I changed my mind completely on this build. I'm going to use my new Infraction v2 for speed runs and general bashing. I was thinking about getting that cool corvette body for it. I already ordered the PPS motor mount. Thoughts? I sold the Limitless to my friend. My goal is at least 170 MPH in the future

Someone here was using the xlx2 center brace and it does have some plusses and minusses. I couldn't find who it was though. Maybe @Edough13
As the ad says, you can't use the v2 handbrake.

Speedruns (aiming for 170mph) and general bashing do require different setup. Anything running extreme speeds will overheat when bashing a full battery pack.

Corvette C8 is very nice indeed. I have the protoform version, which i would not recommend as it has the wide rear of the felony. The delta plastics has the normal rear if i am not mistaken

I have a couple different setups I’m running but I use the emp stuff on all my rigs. Great quality and precision

Right now my Felony has an XLX2 and 1100kv motor installed. I wonder if that body can fit an XLX2 on top since that's how it is installed. I know that the stock body does. Man, so I guess the limitless is definitely easier and better for super fast speed runs with little issues huh? 🤣. Here's the mounting of the XLX2 on my Felony :

Yeah it looks like that's the best route. So I guess this is what I need. Plus the GT body correct? Thanks! :

Yes, or something simular. If you wanna go all in, there are also options to replace the whole chassis by carbon

What body is that?
That's the C8, i thought you asked if it would fit. Which i think is a close call. Luckily the XLX2 doesn't need much cooling

Now with the GT body situation, it looks like it's easier to make my Felony a GT 🤷🤣
The felony with it's wheelsize/diff configuration is not ideal for extreme speeds. (wear makes them run out of sync/unpredictable)
a 170MPH goal also means you need to switch to foams (130+)

Thanks for looking out. I'll probably do it with the Infraction then 😂. What do you think about this spool?

In my experience the gear on that spool is really soft.
The first one I used turned to a ninja star. All the teeth curved and stripped.

Go with this and add a saga gear

Amain sells this GT body. I still like the corvette boy better but they said that you have to put Felony tires and rear Felony diff. I'm trying to get away from the that 😂

Cool. I appreciate it. 👍

It's funny that I'm talking about all this speed run stuff and I've barely hit 90mph the other day 😂.
