I'm still wondering if that center brace would work with the XLX2 and GT body?

What are you trying to accomplish? I’ve got two different setups with XLX2’s. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll share some photos.

I'm trying to put a GT body on my Felony. Right now the XLX2 is sitting on a plate right on top of the center diff. Not sure yet if there's enough clearance once I get the GT body. There's enough clearance with the stock Felony body. Thanks.
I could get this centered brace, which is cheaper than the other one with pre drilled holes for the XLX2

I've got two different mounts from this guy on eBay. Pricey, but well worth it.

Radio link is here. Reciever installed. Now I have to get a better body, install the spool and change out the rear diff and tires. I have a brand new set of GRP but I guess I still have to go to foams. I'm assuming that the GRP tires are only for like 100MPH?

I've done 140mph on GRP's, but wouldn't try to get much more out of them.

Thunder truck almost ready. The XLX2 does fit across where I glued it on the metal plate. I did that so that I can access the bolts that hold the plate in place. This body is messed up though. It's twisted and it is not perfect. The mold is not even the same on both sides but don't suffer from OCD. What I mean is that I'm not a perfectionist. It is messed up though. Not even the stickers on the windows work in one side since the mold is not correct. Earl mentioned that to this company, so maybe I got an old one. It sucks because this body is not cheap. I'll send an email to the seller. It sucks, because the body works perfectly for my specific set up with the XLX2 on top. I'll post here to see what the seller says. I still need to install the spool and change out the the rear diff to a regular one :

Thunder truck is finally ready. EMP spool installed. I used a 39T Arrma spool with it. So my gearing will be 34/39. Nothing crazy. Rear center differential changed to the Infraction diff. I just have to wait for the loctite to cure and I have to adjust the radio. Then find some big ass parking spot or road somewhere. My goal is at least 100mph to start

Sooo. Since I've been swapping motors around, because I'm not buying anything else for a long time, I decided to use the big 5687 motor on my Outcast 8s and I stole the 4985 motor from another vehicle to put my Thunder truck to work again. I went back to the original DSMR SR6110AT RX and my spectrum rugged radio since I stole the Radiolink Rx and that got damaged while jumping one of my bashers. My gearing will be 23/39, since I'm not looking for insanse speeds right now. I also installed cheap lights off ebay. I'll have to test everything out tomorrow to see what top speeds I get. My goal for now is for a reliable thunder truck on road basher. I just don't have any place for serious speed runs.

OK, so I got 76 mph, top speed, but I was running out of room even for a big ass parking lot. I forgot how much distance this thing covers in a few seconds. And the batteries (powerhobby 4s) suck, so they got discharged very quickly. I'm going to try out the Gens basher pros and see what they can do, since those batteries are far superior. The temperature on the motor was fine when I was drifting around. But the batteries just didn't let me have much fun. After the speed runs, they were pretty much drained.
