I've ran this motor for maybe a year. Its the 1730kv motor and I ran it with a 20t and 19t pinions. It's surprisingly still functional, it just gets really hot really quickly. It's always overheated on me since day one.Ouch.. how many runs and what gearing? I'm staying away from these - I know some guys run them with good results but I suspect the ones on YouTube who do get cherry picked parts because it seems like 40% of the people here have issues
Looks like its been used for a year. I say clean it as best you can, check your bearing, replace as needed and run it till she blows.I am by no means an expert on what the inside of a brushless motor should look like......... but I have a feeling this isn't it.View attachment 48289View attachment 48290
That and maybe some low pressure air to loose any debris.Any recommendations on cleaning? I spayed the whole thing down with contact cleaner. I'm assuming that's about all I can really do.
Got links to those?Guys , if your looking for a good 4092 size motor , defiantly look at the TFL SSS motors.
the quality and performance is great from a Budget motor.
i run one in my typhon and its a missile.
I will be doing abit of testing comparing the SSS 4092 2140kv and a TP 4060 2200kv. Both motors 40mm diameter and 92mm in length
Yes thats true. For anyone US based OffShore Electrics is a good source for SSS motors. Good bang for the buck. TP Power is close in cost also.
