Kraton Installing TBR thrasher bumper

I just got the TBR Thrasher bumper in the mail. I'm trying to attach the brace to the main bumper but the part doesn't match the videos or other photos I've seen: the two holes at the top aren't countersunk, so the screw doesn't sit flush.

Should I drill some countersinks myself? Seems like that might compromise the strength of the top of the bumper.

Thats odd. The mounting holes should not be at the top .

The holes are in the same place in this video - perhaps the one I got is a newer version?

The video shows the holes should be countersunk. Sadly it looks like it's a return or a DIY countersink.

My bad. Yours is the wide bumper. I think you should get a replacement rather than fix

Seems it's more like QC, which is strange as I thought all these parts were moulded.

I bought a bumper that didn't have countersunk holes where there should have been. I contacted them and when they finally got back to me their answer was to fix it myself. Someone here got a wheelie bar/bumper with the wheel mounted on the wrong side. Their stuff is hit or miss.
