Interesting JConcepts product, but how do you use it?

Does anybody know how to use these with my RC? I ordered them through EuroRC, but I have no idea of how to use them, and the manual only tells me to 'place in the sand on a nearby beach, preferably slightly hidden under the sand'

When I first saw it, i thought they were actual landmines, by some weapons manufacturer like Rheinmetall. I only thought about looking it up right after posting ?
