Hey gang,
Got a question. I've got a v3 Talion upgraded with an M2C chassis, strut towers, and braces. Before I had all of that, I had fashioned my own aluminum tower-to-tower brace because we were bending the stock chassis.
Now with those upgrades, I'm debating taking the brace off just because it's kinda in the way.
It takes some pretty decent jumps, and hard driving. We've had that M2C chassis for a bit and nothing seems to be out of whack so far.
Here's a slow mo video of the kind of action it sees. It's the second car in the vid (daughter on the controls).
Any thoughts on yanking that brace? Am I asking for trouble?

Perfect back flip!

Not needed.. Good factory chassis’, and decent aftermarket chassis flex. If it flexes, and BENDS that ridiculous “lunchbox handle”, you’re far more likely to bend your expensive chassis, because it’s pretty difficult for the chassis flexing back flat, to straighten that brace once it’s bent from the chassis doing what it’s supposed to do.

I ran an M2C chassis, and chassis braces on my Talion, and never had a single issue. There are also a metric ton of other vehicles out there that don’t have that silly brace, and a capable chassis that don’t become taco’s on a regular basis.. Just saying…. That being said, you can tear up ANYTHING if you drive like a complete tool, lol..🤙🍻

no tower to tower brace needed been running a talion v3 with the m2c chassis for years no bent chassis (y)

Imo it helps tie the everything together, simular to a roll cage in a car. Stronger no doubt with it. If you think it's in the way or you aren't bashing hard enough to need it then have at it, let us kno down the line if you do bend anything or go back to it

If a “U” is stronger than a rectangle, i guess I shouldn’t be teaching physics.

Try bending the chassis over your knee with and without it, it’ll answer your question.

“Wear a mask”, “It’s common sense”

She's neked now.. I threw the brace in my field box and will hold on to it for a bit. Easy enough to put back in place.

are those the old kraton rtr tyres if I remember they were terrible tyres you need some 6s backflips or copperhead 2s
No, those are dBoots Minokawa LPs. I have Backflips as well for running in dirt. But on grass, we prefer these because we can turn at speed without the damn thing flipping over when it's 100 yards away from you ;) They allow a bit of drift in the turf.
That is a mighty large pinion you got there mister.
Yeah, its 22/46 if memory serves. It's my happy place.. My Kraton EXB runs this same setup. Great for blasting around the field.
