Hey I’m running a XLX2 and castle 1717 1650kv 29p/34 spur. I use to have the max 5 esc, but it kept cutting power and I only got to 101mph 6s. So I got the xlx2 and a disable lvc and only got 100, but with no cut back. I seen guys with this same set up and hit 111 with hoons. I have the same everything they have and still only run 99mph. I have the log from the xlx2. Please tell me what’s wrong

Possibly something in the programming, I'm sure others will chime in with some good info. I'm in the process of getting a mmx8s set up myself and know nothing about logs, programming, etc... I know the Castle systems are pretty intense with all the fine tuning you can do. I'm still waiting on my Castle link. I look forward to seeing other reply. Good luck!

What diffs are you running? Here is the speed calculator showing what you would expect on 13/42 diffs - 103mph

Now if you had GP5 diffs 15/42 from the Infraction V2, then you could expect 121mph

If you don't mind me asking what's the spec of your batteries.....I know your ESC specs..... maybe I can help

I believe I put 42/15 gear in the rear. So that I could run the same tires all around. My batteries are 8000mah 100c. I don’t know why it say 116,000 rpm. I looked at another guys log with the same set up and his read different.

So this is a Felony? You never mentioned.

As jd said this is what calculator says.you have a felony that ya put the 15/45 diff in rear to run equal tires...gear-up..
When your in logs go to edit an put in kv an 4 pole..1 to 1 gearing.should read right..

Math it can help others I think
Battery (see why the NAME BRAND don't matter YET)
just numbers
6s right 2 options
8000mah 100c
8x100 = 800 AMPS
800x2 1600 AMPS (most batteries should double it output power no problem)
800x4 3200 AMPS (NOW this why we pay EXTRA for NAME brand) usually UNDERRATE but able to output x4 CALLED Bragging you know LET the NUMBERS speak IMO)
(American CAR markers are KNOWN to UNDERRATE they HORSEPOWER #)👈👈👈👈GOOD THING(sorry Auto Tech....I SPEAK on what I know SHUT up and LEARN when I don't, but that's me)
ESC
Xlx2
Specs
500 X1AMPS
500 x 2 1000 AMPS
500 X 4 4000 AMPS

Just off the numbers alone YOUR battery can't take the AMP DRAW ....YOU gearing UP means more amps..... not pushing your car giving it slight roll and then throttle..... you pulling MAX amps...... going up hill pulling max amps....I don't know your car build sorry(now I will)
try PARALLEL/SERIES
MATH you need 4 3s batteries

2x 3s 8000 mah 100c= 16000mah 200C
2x 3s 8000 mah 100c= 16000mah 200C
1 6s 16000mah 200c
16x200 is you AMPS
16x200 x2=6400 AMP
16x200 x4= 12800 AMP

MATH
2 6s 8000mah 100c in PARALLEL =
6s 16000mah 200c
MATH still the same.........
they should take the AMP DRAW but GEARING, motor size, etc is MORE AMPS more math is needed but this should start you off RIGHT
*****THIS BASED OFF NUMBERS ONLY. FOLLOW THE NUMBERS DO YOUR OWN TESTING than you KNOW who's LYING or telling the TRUTH*******

WHY 500A?👇👇👇👇👇👇 (CASTLE QUOTE)
The amps are not imaginary. We have very accurate current sensing resistors in the PCB along with a high speed 14 bit ADC. I'm not going to say with the max reading is, but I highly doubt anyone will ever be able hit it. We have tested and verified that it is correct well in excess of 500 amps. Also it has a much higher resolution in the datalogs than any other product we have ever made. You should see logs with a resolution steps of 0.1 amps.

I have the 42/15 rear from a v2 infraction. I believe that’s the only difference from a felony and a infraction(beside body and handbrake) but other wise the same. I see guys run weaker/ smaller batteries and they still are running faster on the same gearing. I don’t understand
I’m ready to honestly sell it. It’s driving me crazy!!!! I can figure it out to save my life

Bro,put a 34t pinion with that 34t spur an you'll see a gain.the calculator doesn't lie.i promise you it'll progress

The regular sized hoons. I know gearing up will make it go faster. But something is causing it not to reach full potential. With 34/34 it went up to 106 on 6s. I know people with that same gearing running 115mph-120mph with the same setup I have.

34/34 you should be about 140mph. How much space do you have to make runs? What GPS are you using?

I believe 42/15. I matched the front end diff of the felony for the rear. So that I could run the same tires.
Maybe you went 13/43 in the front to match the rear, instead of 15/42 in the rear to match the front? 🤷🏻‍♂️🥴

Math only works when you enter in the proper parameters. I fixed it for you. C rate does not scale. 10 5000000mah 100c lipos will still only be able to discharge at 100c. Each cell can only discharge at 100c, so it doesn't matter if you have 1 cell or 200 cells the C rate will always be a constant. When run in parallel your power increase comes from the increased capacity of the battery.
